Terms of Sale
Section 1 — Scope
These Terms of Sale govern all sales of jewelry made through the website sfbijoux.fr between Amal Saidi (trade name S&F Trading, sole proprietorship registered with the R.C.S. of Aix-en-Provence, France, under no. 103 837 100) and its customers. Orders are placed remotely and shipped from France to the customer's address in the United States.
Section 2 — Prices
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD). S&F Bijoux reserves the right to change its prices at any time; products are charged at the prices in effect when the order is confirmed. Prices do not include any customs duties, import taxes or clearance fees that may be charged on arrival in the United States (see Section 4).
Section 3 — Orders and payment
Orders are placed online. Payment is made by credit or debit card through the secure Stripe platform. An order is accepted only once payment has been confirmed.
Section 4 — Shipping, customs duties and import taxes
Shipping to the United States is free on every order. Products are shipped from France by La Poste international mail to the address provided by the customer at checkout, with an estimated delivery time of 7 to 14 business days. A tracking number is provided whenever one is available. See our Shipping & Returns page.
Since the United States ended the de minimis exemption for low-value imports in August 2025, international parcels may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or clearance fees on arrival. Any such duties, taxes or fees are not included in our prices and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
Section 5 — Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code (the law governing these terms, see Section 8), you have a legal minimum of 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw from your purchase without having to give a reason. S&F Bijoux extends this period to 15 days. Return shipping costs are your responsibility, unless the item is defective or damaged, or we made a mistake with your order (in which case we also refund the return shipping). Once the item is received and its condition checked, we refund the purchase price. Full details are on our Returns & Refunds page.
Section 6 — Warranties
Regardless of any manufacturer's warranty, S&F Bijoux remains bound to the customer by the following statutory warranties under French law.
Legal warranty of conformity
Under Articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the customer has 2 years from delivery of the goods to claim under the legal warranty of conformity. During the 24 months following delivery, any lack of conformity that appears is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase, unless proven otherwise. The customer may choose between repair and replacement of the goods, subject to the cost conditions set out in Article L217-9. If neither is possible, the customer may obtain a price reduction or cancel the contract under the conditions set out in Articles L217-14 and L217-15.
Legal warranty against hidden defects
Under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code (Code civil), the customer may claim under the warranty against hidden defects in the item sold if those defects make it unfit for its intended use, or reduce that use so much that the customer would not have bought it, or would have paid a lower price, had they known about them. The claim must be brought within 2 years of discovering the defect.
What these warranties cover
These statutory warranties cover manufacturing defects and hidden defects. They do not cover normal wear resulting from everyday use of the jewelry, in particular: tarnishing or natural oxidation of silver, gradual fading of the plating on gold-plated jewelry after prolonged contact with water, sweat, perfume or cosmetics, and individual skin reactions. These are not considered defects of conformity.
For any question, or to make a warranty claim, please contact us through our contact page. See also our Returns & Refunds page if you receive a defective item.
Section 7 — Personal data
Please see our Privacy Policy.
Section 8 — Disputes and governing law
In the event of a dispute, the customer may refer the matter to a consumer mediator free of charge. These Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
